Deleting Your Ashtoga Account

Your account is yours to end whenever you like. You can do it yourself from inside the app, and if the app is already gone from your phone you can ask us to do it for you. Either way, the account and the practice history held with it are deleted — not hidden, not deactivated.

From Inside the App

This takes effect immediately, and needs nothing from us:

  1. Open Ashtoga and go to the Settings tab.
  2. Under Account, tap Delete Account.
  3. Read what will be removed, type DELETE to confirm, and tap Delete my account.

By Email

If you have already uninstalled the app, or can't sign in, write to support@ashtoga.com from the email address the account is registered to, and ask us to delete it. We use that address to confirm the account is yours — it is the only thing tying a request to an account, so a request sent from any other address is one we have no way to verify. We act on these within 30 days, and usually much sooner.

What Gets Deleted

All of it, and at once:

None of it is kept in a form we can put back, so there is nothing to restore afterwards and no way for us to recover a practice history once it has gone. Backups are the one exception: a deleted account may persist in an encrypted backup for up to 30 days before that backup is rotated out, and nothing is read from it in the meantime.

Your Subscription

If you subscribe to Ashtoga, that subscription is held and billed by Google Play rather than by us, and deleting your account here does not cancel it. Cancel it under Subscriptions in the Google Play app, or it will keep renewing. It costs nothing to cancel first and delete afterwards.
