This policy covers the version of the app currently available on Google Play. It explains what information leaves your device when you use the app, who receives it, and what you can do about it.
The free version of the app shows ads delivered by Google AdMob. When an ad is requested, the AdMob software built into the app sends the following to Google:
Google uses this to choose and show ads, measure how they perform, prevent fraud and keep the service secure. We do not receive your advertising ID or any of this information about you individually; we see only totals, such as how many ads were shown. How Google handles this data is set out in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and in the Google Privacy Policy.
The ad-free version is bought through Google Play, which processes the payment under its own terms and privacy policy. We never see your payment details. The app keeps a record of the purchase on your device, so that it knows to hide the ads and can restore the purchase if you reinstall.
When it starts, the app checks with Expo, the service it is built on, for small updates to its own content. That check sends the app's version and your device's platform, and nothing that identifies you.
If you email us, including from the Support button in the app, we receive your email address and whatever you write. We use it only to reply to you, and we keep the conversation for as long as we need it to help you. Ask us and we will delete it.
Everything the app sends is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Your purchase record is kept in your device's secure storage.
Everything the app keeps is on your device, and uninstalling the app removes it. We don't hold any data about you apart from emails you have sent us, which we will delete if you ask. For the data AdMob collects, reset or delete your advertising ID as described above, or use Google's controls to manage and delete it.
The app is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Depending on where you live, including in the EU and the UK under the GDPR, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or move your personal data, to object to or restrict how it is used, and to complain to a data protection authority. Since we hold almost nothing about you, most requests about advertising data are best made to Google through the controls above. For anything else, write to us.
We will update this page when the app's data practices change, and change the date at the top. A future version of the app with accounts will be covered by the policy at ashtoga.com/privacy.
